Producing and Using Wheat Grass Juice

Producing and Using Wheat Grass Juice

by Kato Haws
Wheat grass juice has many benefits, I’ve experienced. Among them are effective stopping of prostate pains, possibly due to sex hormones in the juice. Wheat grass is easy to grow, simple to harvest and use.
  1. Plant some good quality wheat berries like you would other grass. My preliminary experiments show that superior sprouting occurs with fresh organically grown wheat. Sow on top of the soil and rake in.
  2. Cover with a cloth to retain moisture.
  3. Keep moist.
  4. Harvest with a pair of scissors while still young and tender (no dividing of the individuals yet).
  5. The easiest way to extract the juice the grass is to chew it and optionally spit out the pulp. Extracting by chewing is also better for the teeth in my opinion.

Do you grow your wheat grass outside in ground? Or do you also grown it indoors in flats.

Usually outdoors. I prefer that, however, it gets too hot in the summer to grown wheat grass outdoors, so I guess I will be experimenting with indoors growing.
